Lundin Mining Corporation: Neves-Corvo Copper Mine Industrial Action Ends

April 1, 2010

TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwire - April 1, 2010) - Lundin Mining Corporation (“Lundin Mining” or the “Company”) (TSX:LUN)(OMX:LUMI) reports that underground mining employees at the Neves-Corvo copper mine in Portugal today ended their limited industrial action and normal work recommenced as of this morning.

Commenting on the situation, Mr. Joao Carrelo, the Company’s Chief Operating Officer said, “This is a positive outcome for Neves-Corvo. We have been able to maintain reduced production throughout the industrial action and we are now focusing, together with our employees, on recovering as much lost production as we can, in a safe and efficient manner.

“We are continuing to explore ways to improve the long-term competitiveness of the operation and enhance its value for all stakeholders,” Mr. Carrelo said.

The amount of production that may be lost is currently being assessed and an estimate will be provided as part of guidance when the first quarter results are released in late April 2010.
